Saundra S. Zimmerman, age 86, of Eaton, OH passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Vancrest of Eaton Health Care Center. She was born July 13, 1937 in Eaton to the late Robert and Irene (Middaugh) Jefferson. Saundra was a member of the Living Word Church in Vandalia where she worked as a secretary for several years. She and her husband Phil were former owners and operated the Dairy Queen in Eaton and Englewood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law Joyce and Chris Christman; and brother Robert Jefferson. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Phillip Zimmerman of Eaton; sons Jeff (Becky) Zimmerman of Vandalia and Scott (Susan) Zimmerman of New Hope; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 11:00 am at the Gard Funeral Home, 226 W. Main Street, Eaton, OH with Pastor Dan Mershon officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in West Alexandria. Memorial contributions may be sent to Salem Lutheran Church.
