Shirley Irene Dixon

Shirley Irene Dixon, age 92, of Gratis, OH, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Reid Hospital, Richmond, IN. She was born December 31, 1922 in Taylorsport, KY to the late Miles and Sadie Berry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Carl Deffinger and her second husband Woodrow Dixon. She is survived by her son David (Billie) Deffinger of Gratis, OH; grandson Chris (Amanda) Deffinger of Maryland; granddaughter Jessica Deffinger of Gratis, OH; great granddaughter Gabriella Deffinger; and step-sisters Chub Pannell and Freda Riley. Family and friends will be received on Friday, February 7, 2014 from 10:00 am until time of funeral services at 11:00 am at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH with Paul Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at Hebron Lutheran Church Cemetery, Hebron, KY. Memorial contributions may be sent to the St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
