T. Ruth Glascoe

T. Ruth Glascoe, age 78 of New Paris, passed away Monday, October 15, 2018 at Vancrest of Eaton Nursing Center. She was born December 3, 1939 in Elk Valley, TN to the late Elmer and Catherine (Rike) Lawson. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church; was previously employed at Browning Manufacturing; she was a school bus driver for Eaton Community Schools for several years; and prior to retirement worked at Walmart in Eaton. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband William Kenneth Glascoe, Sr.; son William Kenneth Glascoe, Jr.; and granddaughter Emma Ruth Hammons. She is survived by her daughter Tambra (John) Hammons of Eldorado; daughter-in-law Patti Glascoe of South Bend, IN; grandchildren: Erin (Tony) Wilson of Edwardsburg, MI, William Kenneth Glascoe, III of South Bend, IN, Kristen Hammons of New Paris, Kayli Hammons of New Paris and Jesse Hammons of Eldorado; great grandchildren Alexia Woody, Raelynn Wilson and Wesley Hammons; brothers Billy Ray (Theresa) Lawson and Mitchell (Twila) Hunter; sisters Shelby (Richard) Alexander and Frances Mehl; special friends Jack and Dixie Clark of West Milton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Grace Lutheran Church, 111 Lutheran Drive, Eaton with Pastor Dwight Hanson officiating. Burial will be at Twin Valley Cemetery, West Alexandria. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton and from 9:00 to 10:00 am on Saturday at the church.
