Terry Lee "Lil Zeke" Wysong, 60, of West Alexandria, Ohio, passed away on June 25, 2024, after courageously battling cancer for two years. Born on September 16, 1963, in Dayton, he lived a life full of passion and dedication.
Terry graduated from Twin Valley South in 1982 and soon after joined the Army, serving as an Infantry 101st Airborne Ranger in various locations overseas. He was honorably discharged in 1986. Following his military service, Terry worked at Akey's in Lewisburg, Ohio which is where he met his wife Connie. A few years later, he went to work at Lewisburg Container where he worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for 27 years.
Terry was a spirited and active individual who cherished his family and friends deeply. He married his beloved wife, Connie, with whom he celebrated 31 years of marriage. Together, they raised two sons, Jesse and Josh Wysong.
An avid outdoorsman, Terry loved fishing on his Skeeter boat, mushroom hunting, golfing, and playing pool. His hobbies reflected his zest for life and his desire to live each moment to the fullest, a philosophy he maintained even through his health challenges.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife: Connie Sue, sons: Jesse (Paige) and Josh Wysong. Mother: Paula Wysong, Siblings: Mickey (Patty) Wysong, Rex (Teresa) Wysong, Libby (Brian) Bowman, Kristy (Chad) Dwiggins. His extended family, Curt and Shari Plank, Nikki Plank, Jenni Baker and Andrew Baker.
He was preceded in death by his father, Zeke Wysong, and brother-in-law, Steve Bowman.
Arrangements being handled by Gard Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024 from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 12:00 noon at St. John Lutheran Church in Ingomar, West Alexandria, Ohio. Burial will follow at Twin Valley Cemetery.
Terry's life and legacy will be remembered by all who knew him as a man who loved deeply, served proudly, and fought bravely.
