Thelma Ida Sarver

Thelma Ida Sarver, age 94, of Eaton, OH, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Vancrest Health Care Center, Eaton, OH. She was born August 26, 1919 in West Alexandria, OH to the late Earl J. and Laura Mae Rike. Thelma was a member of The Church of Christ, Eaton, OH; was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary #8066, Eaton, OH; and was a member of the 25 years club of Westvaco where she retired from. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Raymond G. Peck Sarver, who passed away on January 12, 1969; son Alan Sarver, who passed away in 1979; sisters Marjorie Cottrell, Dorothy Lindsey, Rosemary Wehrley and Betty Houser; and brothers Virgil Pete Rike. She is survived by her sons William Bill (Sonnie) Rike of Springfield, OH, James Sarver of New Madison, OH and Larry (Pam) Sarver of Eaton, OH; brother Donald (Penny) Rike of Middletown, OH; 13 grandchildren and spouses; 29 great grandchildren and spouses; 2 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 3, 2014 at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH with Rev. Lowell Spencer officiating. Burial will be in Mound Hill Cemetery, Eaton, OH. Family and friends will be received from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 2, 2013 at the funeral home.
