Thelma L. Swihart

Thelma L. Swihart, age 92 of Eaton, OH passed away peacefully on September 14, 2023. She was born March 22, 1931 in Middleboro, IN daughter of the late Lowell and Edith (Daugherty) Elleman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Henry Jeffries; husband, Lloyd Swihart; and brothers, Lowell Elleman and Terry Jeffries. She is survived by her children, Paula (Dean) Bollinger, Lon (Kay) Swihart, and Rita (Jeff) Slifer; grandchildren, Grant and Drew Bollinger; Janet (Bradley) Ott, Mary (Kevin) Henry, Carol (Dustin) Barnes, Jacob Slifer, and Erika (Ted) Mendenhall; great grandchildren, Miranda and Grady Ott, Brock and Elias Henry, Brooklyn and Audrey Barnes, and Penelope Mendenhall; sister, Jane (Bob) Somers; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as several other family members and friends. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place at Wares Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a memorial service on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 2pm at Wares Chapel Church, 1060 Foos Road, West Manchester, Ohio 45382. Gard Funeral Home, Eaton, OH is assisting the family.
