Thomas L. Hartman

Thomas L. Hartman, age 58 of Oxford, OH, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Fort Hamilton Hospital, Hamilton, OH. He was born October 4, 1953 in Hamilton, OH to the late Lewis P. and Hazel M. (Heckman) Hartman. Tom was born and raised in the Camden area, graduating from Preble Shawnee High School. He had worked at Miami University for 26 years, retiring in 2007. Following retirement, Tom enjoyed doing genealogy, tracing his family back to the 1700’s. He also loved flowers, feeding the birds and watching them while sitting on his front porch. He is survived by two sisters, Dianna Hartman of Jensen Beach, FL and Donna Riddell of Camden, OH; brother James Hartman of Streator, IL; nephews Scott Riddell and his son Chris of Union, KY, Steve Riddell and his son Travis of Camden, OH and Phillip and Adam Hartman of Franklin, OH; special aunt Eva Busby of Eaton, OH; and numerous cousins. Graveside services were held on Friday, February 17, 2012 at Fairmount Cemetery, Camden, OH. Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, Eaton, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.
