Tom F. Hoskins, age 78, of Eaton, OH, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Grandview Hospital, Dayton, OH. He was born February 23, 1935 in Piqua, OH to the late Frederick and Lauretta (Davis) Hoskins. Tom was a 1953 graduate of Piqua High School; a U.S. Army Veteran; he worked for the AirMod Company, he worked for his father at Hoskins Auto, and he also worked as a Service Technician for Monroe Systems for Business. He was a member of the Toastmasters Organization; was a City of Eaton paramedic for ten years; was a member of Visitation Catholic Church; 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Council #815, Dayton, OH; and was an avid fisherman, Cincinnati Reds and Ohio State fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Louise Hoskins Schneider. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marcia L. (Meier) Hoskins of Eaton; son Thomas J. (Robin) Hoskins of Trenton, OH; daughter Heidi L. (Randall) Flory of Eaton, OH; grandson Stefan (Rebecca) Hoskins of Middletown, OH; granddaughters Ashley Hoskins of Trenton, OH and Hayley and Sydney Flory of Eaton; great grandson Owen Hoskins of Middletown; sisters Anne (Alan) Kaiser of Piqua and Joyce Cowan of Cottonwood, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, Eaton, OH. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:30 pm also on Saturday at the Visitation Catholic Church, 407 East Main Street, Eaton, OH with Father J. Thomas Fitzsimmons officiating. Interment will be in Mound Hill Cemetery, Eaton, OH.
