Victoria Lynn Wilburn

Wilburn, Victoria Lynn “Vickie Gabbard” of Sarasota, Florida passed away on December 24, 2014.  She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Alpha Gabbard; her husband of 40 years, Daniel 'Darrel’; and several siblings.  Victoria is survived by one brother, John Gabbard of Gratis, and one sister, Sarah Elizabeth Leach of Bradenton, Florida; 1 son – Mathew R. Wilburn; 2 stepsons – Darrel E. Wilburn, Michael Schirmer; 4 daughters – Lynn Shindeldecker, Barbara Shindeldecker, Samantha Wilburn, Jessica Wilburn; 8 grandchildren – Maria, Christina, Shawn ‘Gus’, Ashley, Amber, Anthony, Zane, Luke; and 2 great granddaughters - Raina and Zoey.  Victoria grew up in Gratis and graduated from Gratis High School.  She went on to work at a bank in downtown Cincinnati, Dayton Flexible, together with Darrel owned and operated Darrel’s Shoe Repair in Sarasota, Florida, was a home maker, and later retired from Hi-Stat Manufacturing.  Victoria loved staying busy doing arts & crafts hobbies including painting, ceramics, sewing, and knitting.  She enjoyed homemaking, cooking for her family, picking up shells at the beach, fishing, and most important to her was spending time with her family.  Vickie will forever be missed by everyone she knew and will be remembered for her always happy, always laughing, encouraging, and giving personality.  A graveside service will be held for Victoria and Darrel on Saturday, June 13th 10am at Fairview Cemetery in Gratis, Ohio.
