Virginia M. Howell

Virginia M. Howell, age 90, of Eaton, OH passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the Maple Gardens Care Center in Eaton. She was born May 28, 1927 in Miamisburg, OH to the late Harry L. and Gertrude (Casson) Kreitzer. She was 1945 graduate of Dixie High School; she retired as a cook from the Preble County Home; and was a member of the Eaton Church of the Brethren. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Lowell E. Howell in 1985; sons Robert and Vernon Howell; daughters Carol Howell, Sharon Jordan and Joyce Howell; and sisters Elaine James and Dorothy Bowser. She is survived by her son Dale (Connie) Howell of Zachary, LA; daughter Marilyn (Steve) Lambert of Somerville, OH; grandchildren Jason Howell, Christopher Howell, Paul Lambert, James Lambert and Jody Overhultz; 8 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 5, 2018 at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH with Pastor Andrew Stensaas officiating. Burial will be at Preble Memory Gardens, West Alexandria, OH. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and one hour prior to services on day all at the funeral home.
