Virginia Elanor Pottenger

On October 30, 2011, Virginia Pottenger (Andrews) of Kettering joined her infant son Clayton, her parents, siblings Clayton and Elizabeth Andrews, and daughter-in-law Carol Pottenger in Heaven. A devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother, Virginia is survived by her husband of 72 years, Mark, and their children Laura and Larry Budich and Edwin and Vi Pottenger. Grandma Ginny's positive attitude and courageous spirit will be missed by her five grandchildren: Adrienne Adams (Matt), Jessica Stickel (Jeff), Nick Budich (Morgan Miller), Alicia Budich (Matt Amling) and Crystal Jenkins (Philip). Six great grandchildren brought laughter and joy to GiGi Ginny: Logan, Peyton and Ashton Adams, Ella Stickel, and Kaden Nissen and Elaina Jenkins. Virginia is also survived by sisters Sara Spitler and Martha Jane Jarrard, sister-in-law Evelyn Klenk, and countless nieces, nephews and friends. Born in Preble County in 1918, Virginia and Mark later lived in Eaton, Trotwood and Kettering. Virginia was an active church member throughout her life and most recently attended Christ United Methodist Church in Kettering after they moved to One Lincoln Park in 1995.Services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home in West Alexandria. Visitation will be the hour before. Donations may be made to Christ United Methodist Church.
