William Bill P. Glowka, age 91, of Eaton, OH, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2015. He was born February 4, 1924 in Bellingham, MA to the late Joseph and Catherine (Zenbia) Glowka. Bill is a disabled United States Army Veteran of WWII, where he proudly served as Staff Sergeant, Company L 116th Infantry Division. He is a Purple Heart Recipient. Bill was well known for his talent of playing his saxophone. He began playing at age 8, and enjoyed playing in many orchestras over the years. He still enjoyed playing his saxophone until his death. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Torre) Glowka, and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by sons Eric (Dianne) Glowka of Eaton, OH and Stephen Glowka of Danberry, CT; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother Victor Glowka; sister Christine Garnett; and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Bills life will be held 1:00 PM 4:00 PM Sunday, July 26, 2015 at his son, Eric Glowkas, residence, 716 Skive Cove, Eaton, Ohio 45320.
