William “Bill” Hamilton, age 80, of Greenville, OH and formerly of West Alexandria, OH passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at his residence. He was born June 5, 1939 in Preble County to the late George William and Virginia Ruth Hamilton. William retired as a lineman from DP&L after 39 years of service. He was an avid woodworker and grew and sold pumpkins for many years. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marilyn Hamilton of Greenville; daughter Rebecca (Randy) Devor of Greenville; son David (Melanie) Hamilton of Eaton; grandchildren: Shannen (Kenny) Carter of Richmond, Emily (Chris) Rohwer of Eaton, David (Whitney) Devor of Columbus, Michael Devor of Cleveland and Mark Devor of Los Angeles, CA; 5 great grandchildren; brothers: Robert Hamilton of West Alexandria, Samuel (Pat) Hamilton of Germantown, Charles (Mary Jane) Hamilton of Sarasota, FL and James (Brenda) Hamilton of Sarasota, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, June 6, 2020 from 12:00 noon until time of memorial service at 1:00 pm at the Eaton Community Church, 813 Camden Road, Eaton, OH 45320 with Pastor Sam Shillot and Pastor Dan Denlinger officiating.
