William “Dean” Wigger, age 69, of Eldorado passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. He was born April 21, 1954 in Richmond, IN to the late Donald E. and Mary Helen Wigger. Dean was a 1972 graduate of National Trail High School. He retired as a Quality Supervisor in 2009 from Parker-Hannifin Corporation. He ran the Whispering Christmas Display at Fort St. Clair for over 30 years; was the groundskeeper at the Preble County Fairgrounds for several years; and enjoyed helping his brother Joe farm. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Christy Wigger; sister Billie Sue Reed; brother Virgil E. “Bud” Wigger; and mother-in-law and father-in-law Evelyn and Richard Sauerland. He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Robin Wigger of Eldorado; daughter Deanna (Justin) Stevens of Greenville; stepson Wayne (Sara) Huffman of New Paris; stepdaughter Alicia (Joe) Brockman of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren: Alix, Lilli, Airy Joe, Gentry, Coltin and Rhett; sister Donna Galdeen of Middletown; brothers Joe Wigger of Eldorado and Donald E. “Sparky” (Betsy) Wigger of Englewood; sisters-in-law Pat Wigger of Kansas City, MO; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 3:00 pm until time of funeral service at 6:00 pm at the Gard Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 226 W. Main Street, Eaton, OH with Pastor Kenneth Stewart officiating. Memorial contributions may be sent to Wares Chapel United Methodist Church or the Monroe Township Food Bank.
